[Public] Journal Entry: Institute Announcements, 3/14/14

Good morning students,

Many of you probably witnessed the incident at Candle Lake Village last evening. Around 7pm local time on Thursday evening, a critical failure in the dam at Candle Lake in Saskatchewan, Canada occurred, posing catastrophic damage and danger to the surrounding village and area. It seems that a mutant response team dubbed Alpha Flight was dispatched by the Canadian government to help control the situation and aid in evacuation.

This development obviously affects us all, and to that end, we are looking into the details of this new team, as well as the Canadian government's intentions involving these young men and women. Due to this, Carol Danvers will be taking over Physical Education classes for the next two weeks. Mr. Judd will be unavailable for after school training until further notice.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, you may make appointments to meet with either of the headmasters. We encourage anyone feeling undue anxiety over the development to meet with the institute's guidance counselor.

What gives me the most anxiety about this whole thing are the uniforms. Maybe we should just be happy they didn't dress them in flannel?

But seriously, I don't like this. It's creepy enough when governments take charge of training kids for the Olympics like in China. I'm thinking this is a whole new level of fuckery, no matter what Judd finds out.

Someone convince me that I'm wrong.
