Hello, my names Ianto Jones, I’ve just arrived from Cardiff, Wales.

You may see me around, however my powers make me unnoticeable until I draw attention to myself. I’ve found it’s easiest to get someone’s attention by shouting or touching them on the hand, however I've had some people react poorly to these methods. Please let me know if I should try something else for you.

My name is Felix Harrowgate, I'm 17, I have red hair and I'm a junior. You can recognize me by the designs on my hands that look like tattoos of vines. If I don't see you, please don't touch me? I hate being startled.

Part of my power is astral, so I can see psionic signatures around people at times. I wonder if I could see that, even if your power was active and I couldn't see you physically? So interesting!

Thank you, though I'm afraid I can't take any credit for my name. It's fine if you want to hear my speak, though perhaps we should set up a meeting so I don't startle you. It seems easier for people to see me if they're actually looking for me.

Do you mind if I ask what an astral power is? I haven't heard of that before.

That sounds like a lovely idea. Do you like libraries?

For me, astral powers mostly means that I can step into people's dreams and control them. I can also see parts of the astral plane, like ghosts and other psionic entities. It's a bit hard to explain! The dream thing is my primary ability, anyway.

I haven't tested my power on any animals. There was a cat I fed back in Cardiff that still came around even after I manifested, but she was never interested in much more than the food, even before.

I wonder how that really works? I mean, obviously the telepaths and other psionic powers have a leg up, or those who have extra senses in other ways.

I'm Claudia, and my power relates to seeing how stuff works together, like physics and math and stuff, but instinctively. I generally use it to find ways to improve tech stuff, but I've been learning how to make it more applicable to real world stuff, too.

I'm really not sure how it works. My sister said it was like seeing something out of the corner of her eye, that she sort of knew I was there but didn't think anything of it.

I'm very interested in technology, actually. What kinds of things do you work on?

Depends on what tickles my fancy. I love making things do a lot more than anyone expects. Just ask my Furby, although he's not really that smart. No reason to bother with AI when scripted structured response will work just as well with a tenth the code.

Also it avoids the "AIs about to take over the world" issue that the BBC has been obsessed with lately. Why did you choose a furby?

It was what I had to work on. Cash-strapped inventing. Foster mom didn't understand the difference between computers and electronic toys.

Besides, Mogwai is totally awesome now. If you hear verbal soup with a Scottish accent, that's him.

I'm not sure if "verbal soup" is a positive or negative commentary on Scottish post-rock music.
