Okay, so I guess I'm supposed to use this thing to introduce myself? I'm still at the airport, waiting on a cab that's supposed to take me to this "school" that's supposed to be so helpful to mutants. Bloody waste of time if you ask me. Anyway, my name is Jonothan Starsmore. If you watch National Geographic at all, you'll know my parents, Jack and Marianne, the "controversial" archaeologists who think that every urban legend can be traced back to mutants. Guess they finally got one right.

Not sure what else I'm supposed to say here. I'll be there in probably an hour, so there's that, I suppose. I've only got just the two bags, so I'll need to take a trip into town to pick up a few things.

I dunno couple of people's worth, I guess. Haven't really tested how far I can stretch it yet. Don't know if I really want to, truthfully, cause it's kinda creepy.

Jesus. Can't say that I blame you. Had a hard enough time dealing with the bloody inferno in my chest. Can't imagine having a couple of people's worth of skin hanging off me.

Yup. My folks did all the traveling, stuck me in private school until I was about 14. Bloody TSA tried to get me to take off my bandages at the gate. Think I traumatized the poor pat-down bloke who checked me.

Ha! Well let me be the first to tell you that the nosy TSA bastards are the first to deserve it. They get away with some pretty messed up shit, plus they're racists!

And yeah, I've noticed we're a bit overrun with trust fund kids. Guess that answers the question of who's funding thing little exercise in futility.

Could be worse. At the very least we know that no one's here because they want to be, so rich or not, we're all in the same boat.

Don't I know it. I was squatting in an old house when Xavier's letter found me. Ran out of friends to crash with, because they'd start asking questions I didn't know how to answer.

I sure as hell hope not. Considering I'd destroyed my house, and had the police looking for me, I couldn't just up and tell them that I'd done it, you know?

If I'm lucky, they'll report me as dead before long, so whenever my folks get home, they can get back to their lives without me.

Feels weird, thinking like that. If my parents knew what I was, all of their crackpot theories might get some recognition.

Happens more often than you'd think...folks pretending they're dead and going missing, that is. Sucks for your folks, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

I've heard the stories, yeah. Most likely they won't even miss me. They might go to the police once, ut after that they'll find a new ghost to chase, and me disappearing won't matter any more.
