What does your calendar look like this week? I was hoping you could accompany me and one of the new students into town sometime soon. Her name's Rahne, and she's coming here from what seems to be a very conservative upbringing. Needless to say, she's having a hard time adjusting, moreso than my sister did. She doesn't seem to have a problem with me, though, and she keeps trying to feed Simon.

Anyway, she could use some help adapting to life in the modern age. I'll owe you a favor?

I suppose you could have picked a worse person to expose a conservative girl to queer people (Caius and Pietro come to mind), but do you really think I'm a good choice? I have a penchant for scarves *and* waistcoats, you know. Space aliens can tell I'm queer. She's definitely going to know.

Anyway, I'm free, assuming the Genetic Disclosure thing doesn't go through today. If it does, I'm probably promptly moving to England. Or Thailand. Or someplace Eames likes.

Is it really safe to go out? Someone just tried to kill you, you might remember.

I was thinking that you might come across as fashionable and worldly, while still being young enough to be nonthreatening. And she seems weirdly all right with me and Simon, even though I practically shout that we're a couple from the rooftops every sunrise. But if you're not comfortable with the idea, it is no problem. I don't want to put you in an awkward position.

Trust me, I did not forget about my close encounter with the 2nd Amendment. I don't mean to announce my whereabouts ahead of time when we go, and it is just a trip into Salem Center anyway.

The first half of your first sentence managed to endear me enough to you, through use of two of my favorite adjectives, that I'll happily pretend not to have understood the second half. You're darling. I'm certainly quite comfortable enough with myself to brave a few hours with a young lady who needs her horizons broadened. If you think I'm the fellow for the job, then by all means, I'll start planning my outfit now.

If we happen to be accosted by the NRA, I'll leave it in your capable hands. If we are accosted by ghosts, I'll handle it. Acceptable? :)
