Hallo!

Since our Thanksgiving plans went over so well, I was wondering if you would be interested in maybe organizing something for Christmas? Maybe caroling at a hospital? Or a retirement home?

Hello, Xaviers! I know many students have plans for the American Thanksgiving coming up in 10 days, but some of us will be remaining at the school. Usually there is a nice dinner here, but Kurt, Luornu, and I have an idea to spread the love this time:

We're going to have a community Thanksgiving dinner at St. Sebastian's! Everyone will be invited from town and surrounding places. Father Murphy says he will publicize it for us with all the local churches and the food pantry, plus many of the clinics, WIC centers, etc.--places that people who might not be able to manage a Thanksgiving for all kinds of reasons might see it.

If you'd be willing to help in any way, please just leave a comment and I'll get back to you with details. We'll need people to help with everyhing: serving, funding, cleaning, cooking (even stirring and sampling--no experience necessary!), greeting, even potentially keeping kids busy with toys so their parents have time to finish their own food :D All you need is to be someone willing to help, and there's a place for you. (I should add: regardless of religion or creed. It is happening at the Fellowship Hall at St. Sebastian's, but that doesn't mean it's for Catholics! That just happens to be the church the organizers frequent.) It's also good opportunity to show that Xavier's cares, that we're part of the community, and that makes it a better place to live and raise a family.

We're so excited about this and think it will be really fun! If you have any questions you can ask here, or find one of us in person. My door is always open!

Transportation will be provided from Xavier's to Manhattan, and will return you at a decent hour for a school night. Dinner will take a few hours, and will be provided by Jean-Paul, with me as sous chef.

Please feel free to invite a date or a friend, and let me know if you can come. Don't worry, it isn't a surprise, so there are no secrets to keep. No gifts, please.

Subject: LXQ and JVX Body Armor

Hi guys!

Some of you may know, but for the past six months or so, I've been working on body armor for the teams! Some of the JVX crew may have seen (or worn) my prototypes on one of our recent rescues. The product is about as finished as it is going to get, without me continuously updating and improving it (which I'll probably do anyway), soooo this is a heads up to say, hey, you're getting body armor.

This means that Magik and I want to get your ideas for what you would like your armor to look like. It's all gonna be made of the same material, and will generally be the same style. They'll have to be mostly black, with an X somewhere on the armor - that's Scott's call, because as much as it's body armor, it's also kind of a uniform too. However, there's a lot of room for creative license, so email me back and let me know what you'd like yours to look like, and maybe we can set up a time to take measurements and work out the details!

Oh hey, and if you have questions, those too.

As Scott has appointed me the task of naming the senior team, we shall hereforth be known as Les X-quis. I know, I know...it is super bandwagony to tack the 'X' on to the team name, but with all of the "X-gene" hype going on right now, it's probably the fastest way to identify us as and for mutants.

Plus it is short and fits on a jacket easily.

Hello,

Now that most people have their upcoming schedules figured out, I think it would be beneficial for us to begin training. I've booked the Danger Room from 06:00 to 08:00 each morning. That is not to say that we will be using every single day, but to let you all know that it is available for your use at that time. If it works with everyone's schedules, I would like to begin on August 4.

In addition to beginning with training scenarios, we can also talk about how this team can and should move forward. For example, how often we should and feasibly can train. This is not the army, and not a dictatorship. I think that this team has the potential to do a great deal of good, so long as we take it seriously and give it the attention it deserves.
