Ladies and gentlemen,
Since we're quickly approaching the end of our first school year, this clearly deserves celebration. Faculty just stamped approval on our wild misuse of the hedge-maze so please pencil a second date on your calendar. On Saturday, August 3rd we will be having a very fine shindig.
The theme is based on an appropriate coming of age story, AKA a huge Labyrinth-themed masquerade ball. We're working on finding a student with the power of Fog Machine or 80s lighting, but Ali will have to suffice for now I guess ;-)
Break out your masks, peasant tops, stunning gowns, striped jammies, or whatever fantastical outfit strikes your fancy. There will be surprises throughout the maze, refreshments in and outside it, and the usual dance floor and music set up on the grounds. If anyone wants to help with party setup or entertainment come hither at some point, or poke Pietro (resident glitter queen). We're trying to organize the troops.
There's a few people who can also help out with clothing if you want to get really elaborate with masquerade attire.
Also, if you've never seen Labyrinth, your love for David Bowie may be incomplete and I'm pretty sure we can have another viewing party at some point. Movie-knowledge is not necessary for a good time.
