Hello, everyone. I don’t know all of you, but I’m Steve Rogers, I came to the school a couple months ago. Many of you likely won’t care about what I’m about to share, but I just wanted to get it out of the way now, instead of having to talk about it over and over.
As most of you know or might have assumed, I’m a man, but most of you don’t know is that I’m
transgender. Essentially, I was
assigned female as birth, but didn’t associate with that gender, and began transitioning to the gender I identify with (male) as a child. Many of you may wonder why I would bother telling you at all, but while it is not even nearly the most important part of my life, it is a part of my experience and I prefer to feel comfortable referencing it in conversation if it becomes relevant.
Below are some answers to questions that I get a lot:
( a cut to save your list ) If you have any questions not answered here, you can ask me, as long as you don’t mind telling you if it’s rude or none of you business.
Also, if you would like to talk to someone regarding gender or sexual identity, my door is always open, or we have some great counselors and medical staff here at the school who I can personally vouch for being very supportive. I also have attached some links to resources below if anyone is interested.
Thank you for your time,
Steve Rogers
