A couple things. My boyfriend only has a Walkman and I know he's interested in getting an mp3 player, so I thought maybe I could find one that needs to be refurbished of ebay for him? Would that save money, after the cost for repairs?
The other is that, I don't know if you know, but my mutation is that I'm a musical empath, and I need music for my powers to work. Unfortunately, that means without some sort of music, they are completely non-functional, and iPods aren't exactly durable. I need to come up with some way to make it work better, but I'm kind of at a loss. Is that something you think you could help with?

That's nice of you, dude! I bet he'll love it. It's definitely cheaper than buying new, and I can even help you shop around for a good used one. Refurbishing it won't be any problem. It'll work just like it's fresh out of the box. :)
Are you thinking you want a case for it? Or do you want a studier shell constructed? I can look into both. No promises, but it might be do-able. Sounds like a fun challenge actually!
