Subject: Gabriel Tam Is A Shithead Bastard
You're all pretty close to Simon, hence the FYI: Simon's father just offered to pay me off if I would publicly break-up with Simon. Simon is taking it about as well as one might expect after getting word that someone he loves just tried to arrange to have him humiliated in front of an audience.
I have no idea if he will want to discuss it, but that's likely behind any sudden changes in mood over the next few days. Tread carefully if you try to talk to him about it; considering that River seems likely to be the bastard's next attempt at strong-arming him into obedience, "sore spot" doesn't even begin to describe the topic.
