Re: Incubus
I've been thinking about our conversation last time I visited. Assuming his mutation is, in fact, maladaptive and requires energy draining, I'm willing to volunteer. With supervision, of course, I don't have a death wish.

I am sorry, but occasionally the vagaries of humor still elude me. There is, I think, a punchline embedded in your message that I am currently unable to discern?

No punchline.
(You didn't think I'd email you just to make a sad attempt at a joke, right? Me?)

The alternative simply struck me as even less likely.
But since your query was posed in all seriousness, I will answer with the same: I do not think it would be advisable. Even supervised. It is difficult enough to keep Incubus from succumbing to temptation without deliberately placing such an acute source of it directly in his path.
I admire your dedication to principle. But no.
Just. No.

You don't have to twist my arm. I wasn't looking forward to it or anything. That said, I can't ask of others what I wouldn't be willing to do. Besides, a significant part of my mutation is energy conversion. I could probably stand being bled of energy better than most.
That said, you're probably right. Even if I do trust you punch him in the damn throat if he goes too far.

Of course. But given our current working relationship, I prefer to avoid situations that will oblige me to punch him in the throat, when possible.
If it were Havok or Cherub or Lucy in the Sky making the offer, I would consider it. The level of personal animosity between you and Incubus, however, removes you from serious consideration. It would simply be an invitation to disaster, for all of us.

We are not suggesting this to Havok. Ever.
Like I said, I'm not all that disappointed not to be considered. Just remember that the offer is out there. Please consider it as an alternative to him leeching off people who can't give real consent. I promise not to intentionally piss him off.
Unless he deserves it.
We should do lunch again.

It is not my place to suggest anything to anyone, at this juncture. Though Havok, I suspect, would have less cause for anxiety at the prospect than you do.
Still, I will remember the offer. And I have not forgotten our prior conversation. I shall do what I can to alleviate your concerns by alternative means. It will take time.
My invitation to you and Lydia still stands. You may join me for a meal in my home at your convenience.

Since he's related to me, and Incubus hates me, I'd rather not leave Havok's fate in his hands. Literally or figuratively.
Thanks.
I'll ask her when she's free, and we can work something out.

Incubus hates you. I am not certain he is even aware of Havok's existence, in any particular way. Regardless, if he wanted to hurt you, I do not think he would go through your sibling to do it. There are a variety of other means at his disposal that wouldn't require the additional risk of involving an outside party. In any event, this debate is entirely academic. I will suggest nothing.
Let me know what you decide. I will be here.
