Relative to the announcements and news stories today on Dr. MacTaggart's genetic study, if anyone would like to speak to me about it, or if anyone is interested in knowing their X-genetic type, I can attempt to tell you. I can probably only scan one person per day, though, so please let me know if you are interested so we can set up a date and time.

I'm reading everything Doctor MacTaggart sent us. It seems like (and I've only had freshman and sophomore science, so, be kind to me) it doesn't really matter if you have one or two of the genes. Right? What it really tells you is if one or both of your bio parents had the gene?

That's right. It might also tell you what you could pass on if you were interested in having children of your own one day.

Please understand that 'ew' is purely from my own perspective and not a comment on the reproduction of the species in general.

Knowing about the genes of someone whose name I don't even know seems a touch invasive, but... I'm going to be thinking about it. I shan't take up a schedule slot just yet, I think.

Would it be possible to read the full study? Or...I suppose the library has a subscription to the relevant journals, doesn't it? That would make it easier.

I'd be interested in finding out myself. My parents are also planning to come over toward the end of summer, make certain I'm settling in properly. They're both doctors and would probably find this all just as fascinating as I do.
