Children,

I am certain by now that you have all seen the video released by Ms. Dupree, and I know that you all have many questions. I would like to assure you that Headmaster Lensherr and I are monitoring the situation closely. It was always a possibility that something like this would occur, and while we know that this is a sobering development, the school will continue to function regularly in the meantime. However, please be aware that there are plans in place should desperate measures become necessary, and our offices are always open, should you wish to bring any of your concerns to our attention.

I just had to stop myself posting a journal entry saying that I thought it was fucking weird of Xavier to address his announcements to "Children". I mean, we are, technically, but especially considering the nature of that announcement, how long is that really gonna last? Now might be a good time to let us try sitting at the big kids' table, before shit gets real. Patronising weirdo.
