Hello, ladies. I'm hoping we can all get along in this dorm, and be right friendly with each other. I've come here all the way from Scotland, see, and I don't know much about *real* American customs. So I'll be asking you all, please don't be coming to this room with drugs or with filthy music or videos. You're welcome to do what you like in your own rooms, but I don't want these things coming between us; I'd rather not see them in the first place.

Also, I'm the early to bed, early to rise type. Please be mindful, with your noise.

The good professors say it's best if I make friends quickly, so if any of you ladies would like to help me organize a knitting bee or a dorm pot luck, please come talk to me some morning or evening soon.
