Another new student. Curtis Donovan, 17 and exhausted. It was a long flight.

I'm the new tennant of 106 West. Never been to a school that insisted on introductions before. Then again never been to a school with it's own stables and telepathic headmaster either.

Gonna crash, unpacking can wait. I guess I'll meet you all in class.

lol No, I am not. I have been here a few months now and it still continues to amaze me. Which is saying a lot since I have been blue and fuzzy my whole life. :D

Hello, Curtis! This was certainly a new kind of school to me, too--though I guess it is to all of us, in the mutant way. I'm Jeanne-Marie. Welcome, and good to meet you.

I left school after my GCSEs, fucking weird to be back really.

I had to look up what that was--I am learning all sorts of interesting things about education systems, it seems.

I hope this proves to be the good kind of weird. We certainly have a lot of "weird" in general, here. :D

Yeah it is different. I figured I should get my A levels but apparently you Americans don't have them. I was told you guys have SATs here which I sat when I was like 13. Same name different thing?

We don't have to write the SAT in Canada, either--or maybe just Quebec? My educational experience so far has not been typical of my own country or even province, so perhaps I am wrong. It is for university acceptance here, though, I think.

Either way, there is still plenty for me to learn.

Canada? Good to know I ain't the only non american then. All I know about America is mostly from TV and movies. Know less bout Canada.

There are plenty of us non-Americans around, which does make it easier. I don't feel so awkward, trying to adjust. And yes, no explaining mutations! That is the best thing, certainly.

If the smoke gets to you, we could probably put together a petition. I don't mind if the others go outside, but it annoys me that I have to put up with it where I live and work.

Got no problem with the smoking. Been known to do it myself occasionally. You really think anyone's gonna pay attention to a petition anyway? No bloke I've ever known would.

They don't crack down on it now because no one is complaining. Frankly, I don't care how you foul up your bodies as long as you don't do it in the dorms, but apparenlty no one seems to agree with me on that point.
