So am I. I know you mean well, but I think, as much as you're right, we can't afford to terrorize the younger students. They're likely to go out and do something as equally stupid as the girl did.
I think that's underestimating them. They're going to have to live with what comes too. What's the use of preparing for the worst if we don't actually talk about what that is?
I'm not saying lay out a checklist of all the ways they could be horribly killed, but at the very least, we should discuss what to do if they find themselves in a hostile crowd, maybe ask Judd to step up the self-defense, get-away strategies, that sort of thing.
They're KIDS, Jean-Paul. WE are kids. Yes, Judd could step up the self-defense, but putting the fear of God and the entire world into them is just going to spawn nightmares, stress, and fear.
Then can you just ease up on the doomsday prophesies until we know more? Let them have some time to absorb what is going on before we scare the hell out of them.
