Okay, so I guess I'm supposed to use this thing to introduce myself? I'm still at the airport, waiting on a cab that's supposed to take me to this "school" that's supposed to be so helpful to mutants. Bloody waste of time if you ask me. Anyway, my name is Jonothan Starsmore. If you watch National Geographic at all, you'll know my parents, Jack and Marianne, the "controversial" archaeologists who think that every urban legend can be traced back to mutants. Guess they finally got one right.

Not sure what else I'm supposed to say here. I'll be there in probably an hour, so there's that, I suppose. I've only got just the two bags, so I'll need to take a trip into town to pick up a few things.

I feel bad for you. I wouldn't read the rubbish they have published if someone paid me to. I'm not even sure if they know no one takes them seriously.

That bad, huh? Can't be any worse than where I've been slumming it before I got Xavier's letter.

Yeah that's five minutes of my life I'll never get back. Next time you see them, tell them I said "fuck you very much", man.

Could be worse here, I guess, if we're talking relative situations. Here's hoping.

I'll do that, assuming they ever figure out I've gone. They were on assignment when I took off, so it could be another six months before they realize the house is empty.

I feel bad for the neighbors, really. Pretty sure the old couple next door thought a bomb had gone off. Heard sirens after I'd gotten about six blocks away.

Well okay so that also sounds ominous. But stylishly ominous, so whatever.

Didn't really intend for things to go down that way, but I wasn't about to stick around for the cops to discover there's a mutant skulking about the residence of the bloody town joke.

Hell no. I don't know what cops are like over there, but can't be too much different from the assholes we have. And yeah. Fuuuuuck that.

So yeah, I guess this might be slightly less suck than that was. Probably.

They're a bit better than the American police, from all I've heard, but not by much.

Better than squatting in an abandoned house because I'd run out of friends to crash with? Yeah, you might say that.

Yeah well. Having met the management, I don't know, man. But like I say, here's hoping.
