SO. As you may or not be aware, today is my birthday! My plans were pretty much to watch a bunch of awesome movies and veg, so I figured hey why not invite everyone else along!!
So come to the rec room if you want cookies (thanks for the assist, Vic!) and to watch a bunch of awesome movies! I have a whole bunch (Fifth Element and ET and Pacific Rim and Little Shop of Horror and... well, there are a ton of options is what I'm saying) and am TOTALLY willing to put it up to a vote!

(Also, yes, I am aware that I was born on pie day. No, that doesn't mean I'm automatically a Dean girl.)
Edit to add: No presents needed! Or rather, the chance to share awesome geeky times with you all is present enough! :D

So, this email is to inform you that you have been selected to beta test a new online community for mutants that X-statiX will be hosting. Panax asked Cypher and I to build something secure (and aesthetic and fun) for not only all mutants (the public side), but also for students and alumni of Xavier's (the private side).
You have all had usernames and passwords created for you, and shortly, I'll be sending out private emails to each one of you with that information along with the links you'll need. Go ahead and feel free to begin testing posts, exploring the profile options, and fiddling with anything you think needs more work. Anyone that wants to try and break the encryption and security, go for it. We need this community to be as secure as possible.
Let me, Cypher, and Panax know if you have any questions or suggestions!

I've recently been made aware that a good number of us are fans of romance novels! So I'm announcing the inaugural meeting of Romantics United!
I was thinking Thursday at 7 pm in the rec room closest to the kitchen for this first one, and we can discuss what we want to do with the club and if there are better places/times for everyone!
Let me know if you're planning on coming so I can gauge the appropriate amount of snacks (though of course last minute drop ins are welcome!).

If you are involved in any of the online mutant communities you may know me by my handles, samlicker81 or BeckyWinchester176. Before you ask, yes, those are Supernatural references. I’m a huge fan. It’s pretty much the best show.
Anyways, the headmasters are calling my power psychic writing, but basically when I write stuff by hand it comes true (or tries to. I can create some pretty awesome hallucinations). Don’t worry, though, I save most of my NC-17 stuff for my fanfic (all under samlicker81 if you’re interested! I also do requests :P). So unless your names are Sam and Dean Winchester, you’re safe. And if you are Sam and Dean? First of all, I KNEW you were real. Secondly, I’m sorry but there’s just some homoerotic tension that I can’t ignore. Oh, and the reason I chose Ghostwriter for my codename should be pretty obvious now. :D
I’m super bummed I missed the first week of classes, but I’ll be a Sophomore and I’m taking drama and computer science as my electives, so I hope to see some of you there! And if any of you are Supernatural fans, or are involved in fandom, let me know!
