Xavier's Fencing Club

Anyone interested? I know we have a few enthusiasts, and possibly a few willing to learn. We could get together once a week to hold bouts, teach basics, and take pointers from one another on different styles.

Yes, I'm practicing memorizing your codenames. I'm sure at least two of you are very impressed.

Anyway, here is the deal: whether I sweep everything tomorrow or crash and burn, I'm throwing a party at LeChateau next weekend to celebrate surviving this season. Here's the venue; we'll be taking over the lounge. Directions shouldn't be hard to find.

It's not going to be fancy or anything. Seriously, you can get away with a decent shirt and a pair of jeans that don't show any skin. Mr. Jinadu will be chaperoning and Raymonde is going to come down from Montreal to join us. Just let me know if you can make it.

Thank God we got a hotel last night, because I'm not sure we could have spent another night at my parents' house, which, by the way, is not as big as Xavier's (or bigger), no matter what Jean-Paul says.

We're headed to Busch Gardens this afternoon for their Christmas Town celebration. I'm pretty sure Jeanne-Marie and Jean-Paul will eat the whole thing up, what with the rides, the attractions, the costumes, and the food. If we leave before they close tonight, I'll be surprised.

I hope everyone had a good holiday at the school, by the way. I'm also praying that none of you burned it down, yet.

...but thank you. I don't know how you were able to get Jean-Paul's email address - I probably don't want to know, but I appreciate you telling him about my birthday. I suspect you already know that I wasn't actually sick. I just need some time to figure a few things out before I have to face mom and dad for the holidays. I got the book you sent, by the way. I'm only on the second chapter, but you're right, I love it. You knew I would.

I miss you. But you probably know that too.

I heard that you got the lead role for the Nutcracker again this year - not that it's all that surprising. You're amazing, and you know I won't miss it. I plan to drive down Christmas Eve for the recital, then whatever festivities are going on in town. No doubt mom already has the house decorated. We're planning to organize the decorations here this weekend. Apparently they're having all the decorations shipped in on Saturday, then we can just go to town. I'm not sure I've ever decorated anything in my life before, but I'm looking forward to it.

Take care of our parents. You know how they can be.

Made it to the hotel safe. Homework, then bed. Tomorrow, there's snowboarding, skis, and ass to be kicked. Prepare for my inevitable victory.

After the little get together to celebrate, left by the door to Simon's dorm is a package wrapped in the daily comics. Inside is a copy of the DVD Salt and the card reads:

I was going to get you a box of latex gloves but I figured you got a pretty much unlimited stock thanks to working in the infirmary. Let me know how you like the movie - if you manage to stay awake.

Hey. I wanted to let you know that things were, tentatively, cleared up between JP and myself. He knows about the bisexuality, but I'd appreciate it if you keep it to yourself. He's still not a fan of yours, but I think that has more to do with the fact that Arthur and Pietro apparently came to your defense. I'm trying to convince him to lighten up a bit, but who knows.

About what happened in the parlor...I'm sorry. I was feeling a little self-destructive at the time. I appreciate what you did for me, but I'm sorry if I took advantage of that friendship.
